Enjoy and do share the link for my original poem, but not the poem itself. It is copyrighted. Merry Krampus to all, and to all a frightful night.
“Day of
Reckoning”
By
Pamela K. Kinney
The sixth of
December,
A timely date
St. Nicholas’s
day
But wait!
It’s Krampusnacht, too!
It's a day of
reckoning,
So, beware,
Naughty children
everywhere!
Time to repent
all your misdeeds,
Though it may be
too late.
For St. Nicholas
has his dark twin,
Krampus,
Fiend who carries
a switch,
A basket strapped
to his back,
Where bad
children are
Caught and tossed
into.
A horned being,
Shaggy goat hair
all over,
Scary features;
long tongue.
I plan to be
good,
Will you?
Otherwise….
Krampus is going
to get you!
