Supernatural Friday: Hell Hound Poem

Hell Hound
By
Pamela K. Kinney

A long howl on,
The night wind
Dark beast coming
No place to hide.

Monstrous form,
Cannibal sharp teeth
Eyes of blood,
Claws of poisonous intent.

It slides,
Out of shadows
A silhouette barely there,
Growing substantial
Torment alive.

Nowhere to hide,
It tracks its prey
To leap over moonbeams,
Victim caught.

Teases the soul
Delves into the flesh
Rips the heart out
Feasts on the fear,
Dragging leftovers,
Back to Hell.
