Four Questions asks about conventions and conferences, as I will be a writer guest at one next weekend--Shevacon ( ) in Roanoke, Virginia.

1. Have you ever been to a convention of any kind?

2. Can you name one you have been to?

3. What kind of conference have you been to, if have?

4. If never been to a convention or conference, if had the chance, name one you would love to attend one day.

I've never been to anything. I think I'd be more interested in the chance to meet up with people I know only through the internet, than any specific event.

I've attended many conferences for romance writers. RWA National is a bit overwhelming, but offers a lot for authors. Personally, I benefit more from some of the smaller conferences: Dallas Area Romance Authors "Dreamin' In Dallas" is great. Yellow Rose RWA's May Awards Luncheon and Conference is a bargain. I've also enjoyed conferences at North Texas RWA, the Louisiana group NOLA, the San Antonio and Houston conferences.
