FOUR QUESTIONS FRIDAY-Happy New Year's

The last one for 2010 asks about New Year's.

1. When did they first celebrate New Year's Eve in Times Square in New York City?

2. What should someone do first thing on New Year's Day morning for good luck?

3. What are you doing for New Year's Eve?

4. What legend about New Year's do you know.

Times Square? Have no idea.

Good luck. I know some New Year's good luck traditions but none of them mention "first thing in the morning." I dunno? Sneeze?

We went to a party at friends' house.

I don't know about legends, but New Year's Eve in Scotland, known as Hogmanay, is pretty legendary.

There are all kinds of New Year's customs and superstitions. From the the "eating black-eyed peas and stewed tomatoes" thing (yuk) to believing that misfortune will befall you if the first person over your threshold in the new year isn't a man. Ah, well.
